A Review of At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost

Jeaniene Frost isn't running out of steam or ideas for Bones and Cat, and it is so apparent why Frost has become a popular vampire writer and bestselling author in such a short time.

In At Grave's End is the third book in the Night Huntress series and it rocks.

Cat and Bones are back and this time they are caught in the cross hairs of a big, bad, super powerful old vamp that wants them both dead and won't stop coming until they are both shriveled in the grave.

The bad news? This vamp may get exactly what it wants because it has power, secrets, magic and most of all...someone on the inside. That's right, someone inside the sacred circle of trust is a traitor.

Cat and Bones are already getting attacked every time they turn around, first Cat's dad, Max, launches an all out attack and tried to kill her, but he had help. They need to know who is behind the funding. Someone wants them dead- bad and quick. No matter what they do the threats just keep coming. Who is the traitor?

Is it Bones's sire Ian, who Cat isn't sure she trusts? Is it one of Bones's trusted body guards and long time friends? Or is it the newly turned vampire, Tate, member of Cat's team and the guy that is totally in love with her? Could he be trying to off Bones so he can finally get his chance with Cat? Hell, maybe it is Dracula. Someone is out to get them and has started an all out war among the vampires to ensure they get what they want.

Poor Cat. She's never had a normal life and now she can't even have a normal holiday season or plan a wedding. Sure she and Bones are legally married as far as the vamps are concerned but Cat was hoping for a more traditional wedding. At this point that's never going to happen. How can you plan a wedding in the middle of a war, a war that you are actively engaged in?

If they don't figure out who is after them they may never get the chance to have that wedding anyway.

Frost has delivered another action packed paranormal romance full of wit, sarcasm, sex and violence. Just what the doctor ordered on a cold winter night.

It is easy to see why these books have become instant best sellers. If you are a fan of Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series you will love The Night Huntress series. Similar enough to get you into the books, but different enough you'll get hooked on their originality.

The Night Huntress series has enough romance to make your heart go pitter patter, enough emotion to draw some tears, enough sarcasm and humor you may laugh out loud, and enough sex and violence to keep it interesting, very interesting. Then she throws in a fabulous story line full of plot twists and turns that keep you guessing and you get fabulous characters that are alive (in their own way, undead or otherwise) they reach right out off the page to touch you. Amazing.

I really love Cat. She is such a bad ass with a heart of gold. And Bones...he is sooo YUMMY with a side of fang. Then there's Tate. You can't help but feel for the guy. I almost wish Cat would falter and throw the poor guy a love bone. Too bad Bones would shred him. I wonder how that is going to play out? I hope Tate doesn't get killed, maybe along the way he will find someone special, other than Cat.

I am so glad this series is continuing. It is one worth reading. I can't wait to see what is in store for Bones and Cat in the future.
