Can you tell readers a little bit about
yourself and what inspired to write in this particular genre?
I’m eighteen, like the color black,
because it’s easier to wash J and I have a little brother and sister. On top of being ‘trying’ to be
an author, I’m also a songwriter and works for a record label here in Denmark.
What inspired me to write Dominion were angel stories my late grandmother told.
What is it about the paranormal, in
particular vampires, that fascinates you so much?
What fascinates me about
the paranormal world is the fact that anything can happen in there, you never
know when you are going to meet a hot alien, or even Dead himself. When it
comes to the vampire world, I’m a sucker for the way each author tries to
interpret his or her visions on them.
Please tell us about your latest
release.
My latest is also my first, Dominion,
which is a story about a seventeen-year-old girl, Abigail, who thought she was
on the ride of a lifetime when she find out that guardian angels existence, but
her life started trembling down when she find out not all guardian angels were
here to guide, and her ride was about to land with an explosion.
Was one of your characters more
challenging to write than another?
The most challenging
character to create was Tristan. I had to make sure he wasn’t too much of the same
thing. I had to somehow make him seem human, although Tristan is an angel. In
the beginning I set him on a pedestal and it was really hard to bring him down
from it whiles the story progressed.
Is there a character that you
enjoyed writing more than any of the others?
Gideon’s character was
fun to write, for those who’d read the book you’d wonder why, even think I’m a
little bit crazy, and I wouldn’t blame you if you do. I like writing his
character because I had to challenge myself to see just how far I could go
trying to create a world for a character as him. I had to start him off as
being annoying, and gosh, sometimes the thoughts I myself wrote from his POV
annoyed me. I knew he had to sound all conceited, spoiled, and a total brat,
but I still couldn’t help rolling my eyes during those scenes. The challenge
though was building him from an annoying disliking character to a loving one,
well almost, a loving one.
Can you tell readers a little bit
about the world building in the book/series? How does this world differ from
our normal world?
Dominion feature both our world and a make believe world of the angels. The angels world differ from ours in the sense that the buildings aren’t the same, though morals are, the angels have a different sense of code they have to live by, and their life are somehow all heading in the same directions as guardian angels, although with different ambitions.
Do any of your characters have
similar characteristics of yourself in them and what are they?
All of them have. Somehow
I managed to put a little bit of myself in each one without even knowing it. It
was only when I was reading the final work that I saw some glances of myself in
them.
What are your guilty pleasures in
life?
A really big spoon, a can
of peanut butter, music and a really good book!
Other than writing, what are some of
your interests, hobbies or passions in life?
My passion is working on
how I can become a pirate or superman! Childhood passions and dreams… still
have them! Haha, okay some of my other passions are learning about the film
world, I watch films, behind the scenes and documents about directors, set
designers, location scouts and all thing filmmaking. I’d like to work on set of
a feature movie in the future, preferable an action movie.
What can readers expect next from
you?
The next book from me
would be the sequel to Dominion, which I’m working on at the moment. It will
take off right after the events that took place in Dominion.
