Flint Zombie Walk October 3, 2015

Are you going to the Flint Zombie Walk this year?

My family has been going for the past couple of years.

The photo to the left is from last year- my daughter was a zombie voodoo doll, my little guy a zombie and my husband the zombie hunter.

I was just a zombie mom taking photos.

It's a fun thing to do even if you're not into zombies.

Every year The Flint Zombie Walk chooses a local charity to donate proceeds from the walk to. It's a great way to contribute to the community.

The Flint Zombie Walk has more than just a walk too- they have vendors where you can buy spooky stuff, a raffle so you can enter to win scarific prizes, and last year they even had a pageant- one for zombie kids and one for zombie adults.

The photo to the right is my kids participating in the pageant.

If you are in the Flint area, love all things zombie, or simply all things Halloween the Zombie Walk is something you must participate in.

And don't worry about dressing up, you don't have to if you don't want to but really that's part of the fun. And there are all kinds of zombies there- regular zombies, a Santa Zombie, I even spotted a zombie banana, yeah you read that right, a zombie banana.

Last year there was a zombie wedding too.

Isn't she a lovely bride? LOL

You can get creative with anything in your closet that you don't mind getting trashed. Just toss some blood and dirt on it and you're all set.

No time for creativity? Check out Pure Costumes.

They have costumes for everything. Even some pretty scary ones that can be zombified in a heartbeat- scary clowns, gothic nuns, a dead bride. Easy to add the right makeup and turn any of them into a zombie.

They have several wicked masks, great makeup and a cool zombie chest accessory piece- and of course they have zombie costumes including Zombie Prom Queens, Zombie Deputy Dead, and The Walking Dead Costumes- the Deluxe Decomposed Zombie, the Little Girl Zombie, The Walking Dead Doctor, and The Walking Dead Sheriff Rick.

Plenty to choose from, so make your own costume, buy one, or just come as you are.

Hope you'll join us in downtown Flint October 3.
