Vampire Movies with Keta Diablo and Win a Copy of The Sin Eater's Prince

I don’t know about you, but I love vampire movies and everything about the undead. According to Movie Moron, the ten best vampire movies of all time are listed below. How many have you seen?

Here’s a bit of trivia on each that I think you’ll enjoy or perhaps it will refresh your memory. I’ve left a little poll on the side bar for you to vote for YOUR number one favorite. Please participate so we can see how we stand up to Movie Moron’s poll. If you want to see what movie came in 1st and 10th at Movie Moron, go here: http://www.movie-moron.com/?p=2481

And, after you’ve voted, scroll down and read about my latest vampire novel, The Sin Eater’s Prince, coming to you January 14th from RAVENOUS ROMANCE. Read the blurb below and don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter. I give away three FREE books every month. Sigh up here: KETA'S HAUNT

Nosferatu (1922)

Vampire Count Orlok expresses interest in a new residence and real estate agent Hutter's wife. Silent classic based on the story "Dracula."

Dracula (1931)
The story of the strangest passion the world has ever known! Plot:
The ancient vampire Count Dracula arrives in England and begins to prey upon the virtuous young Mina

Horror of Dracula (1958)

Don't Dare See It...Alone! Plot: After Jonathan Harker attacks Dracula at his castle (apparently somewhere in Germany), the vampire travels to a nearby city.

From Dusk Til Dawn (1996)
A terrifying evil has been unleashed. And five strangers are our only hope to stop it. Plot: Two criminals and their hostages unknowingly seek temporary refuge in an establishment populated by vampires, with chaotic results.

The Lost Boys (1987)

Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire. Plot: After moving to a new town, two brothers are convinced that the area is frequented by vampires.

Shadow of the Vampire (2000)
An Unspeakable Horror. A Creative Genius. Captured For Eternity. Plot: The filming of Nosferatu is hampered by the fact that the star is taking his role far more seriously than what seems humanly possible

Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
Beware! Plot: The vampire comes to England to seduce a visitor's fiancée and inflict havoc in the foreign land.

Near Dark (1987)
Killing you would be easy; they'd rather terrify you...forever. Plot: A young man reluctantly joins a traveling "family" of evil vampires, when the girl he'd tried to seduce is part of that group.

Let the Right One In (2008)

Eli is 12 years old. She's been 12 for over 200 years and, she just moved in next door. Plot: Oscar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.

Interview with the Vampire (1994)

Drink From Me and Live Forever! Plot: A vampire tells his epic life story: love, betrayal, loneliness, and hunger.

About The Sin Eater’s Prince:

Owen Rhys, the sin eater of his village in Wales, has been shunned by the local villagers his entire life--except by Andras Maddock, the local physician. In love with the one man he thinks will never return that love, Owen is shocked when Andras saves him from death at the hands of a vampire and admits he cares deeply for Owen.

Dagan, son of Traherne, the vampire Andras killed to save Owen, will stop at nothing to avenge his father’s death and obtain the Prince of Wales’s mystic sword from Andras. The divine claymore holds the power to grant immunity from the sun’s harsh rays—the one exemption the dark Lords of the Underworld has sought for centuries.

Star-crossed love, sorcery, and bloodlust collide on a vengeful path where only one side can remain victorious.

Revenge and redemption
Dark versus light
Good versus evil

I haven't seen all of the movies you have posted and out of the ones that I have watched Lost boys is my favorite. I would rather read about vampires and werewolves that to watch them in a movie.

For me it's a four-way tie between The Lost Boys, Near Dark, Shadow of the Vampire, and Let the Right One In--each is brilliant in its own way and I recommend them all to vampire movie fans who have not seen them. ;-)

Hi everyone,

Our poll goes to show how young we are. Not many remember much less have seen the older vampire movies.

Did you go check out the first place winner on Movie Moron? I was surprised to see who placed first.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and being good enough sports to participate in the poll. Kind of fun.

And Roxanne has done a lovely job with this blog. WOW! I'll be back often and I'm following her now.

Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter. You have a chance to win more free books, and thanks so much for your support.

Namaste, Keta
