I am off to feel happy for my boy's birthday and sad that he's 18
and will be leaving the nest soon.
I am also going to go pout about feeling old while I watch my husband bake a birthday cake.
Then I have to deal with preparations for tomorrow's dinner while making today's.

Wow, Roxanne 18. I can't imagine. My oldeest is only 5 (although he thinks he's 18) and I can't imagine him being that big. You must be proud.

I am a wimp, I was driving to the sore today and heard some song and it made me think of my son and I broke down and started crying. Then the whole time I was reading sappy birthday cards I sniffled and cried. I never used to cry, I am such a wimp.
Oh and I get that a lot about the age thing. A doctor actually asked if I was his sister when I took him in for an appointment.
And I shouldn't be old enough to have an 18 year old (had him when I was young and stupid)but I am. I am also mama to a 10 year old and a 3 year old.
Nothing like getting them to be independent then starting all over again with a new one.
