Monday Musings, True Blood Season 3, and Scheduling Guest Authors

So what did you think of last night's True Blood?

The weres have officially joined True Blood. Just haven't learned much about them yet. It looks like its going to be a great season.

Wow. They sure know how to get the blood racing and leave you hanging don't they? That hour goes by way too fast.

I am glad I got HBO so I have something awesome to watch this summer.

News for this week: This week at Fang-tastic Books I have interviews and guest blogs with Alayna Williams, Katrina Michaels, and Vanessa Vaughn plus for FBF I'll be giving away a copy of Sherlock Holmes: Seance for a Vampire.

I'll be guest blogging at Not Really Southern Vamp Chick and holding a giveaway for pdfs of my newest releases on Friday. Thursday I'll be at VampChix also offering a giveaway of Like That Spark and Dark Tales Digest.

Any authors interested in scheduling a guest spot for July, August or September please email me and we'll get something set up for you.

Normal author days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, if you are offering a giveaway along with your guest blog or interview I can also schedule you for a Friday (in conjunction with Free Book Friday). If you need a different day we can work something out.

For more info about promotional opportunities Fang-tastic Books has to offer authors please click the top tab that says Author Promotion.

To email me just hit the contact tab up in the top right hand corner of the site.

Authors: I am still scheduling SQAI for Night Owl Reviews magazine and posting monthly PNR and UF book news in my column so please forward any info my way that you may want to have included.

For authors with no time for guest blogs or interviews I can give you some great promo by including your book in one of the prize packages I will be giving away for the Got Books? Book Blogger Event and for BlogFest 2010. So far in each pack I have a Blood Ties Season 2 DVD set (thanks to Eagle Rock Entertainment) and a copy of Vampireology (thanks to Candlewick Press). I also have plenty of author swag including magnets, bookmarks, postcards, pins, and more.

Any author who donates will get a link in my sidebar along with links and mentions in each post I do about the Got Books Event and BlogFest 2010.

I live blogged using twitter throughout the show and then summed up what I felt we learned about the plot. All in all, except for getting to see Eric's butt I was disappointed. I do not like the way Evan R Ward plays the Queen, and I have a hard time separating the magister's from the Big Love creepy polygamist role because they are played by the same actor. I thought that the queen had the best high Def makeup. And what was the dream Sam had about Bill all about???

I thought it was cool that Pam came out.

I liked the episode.

And I figured Sam's weird dream about Bill was due to having Bill's blodd, same way Sookie has sex dreams about Eric.

I don't watch Big Love but the magister still creeps me out-never liked that guy in anything.

My husband I were both gasping and yelling at the tv screen during the dream sequence - LOL.

I applaud HBO. Twenty-three minutes in and I get naked Eric. That's all I needed, but then Pam was hilariously evil in her own special way. I love her.

I could do without Sam's weird dream, even if I don't care for Bill, but I understand why he had it.

All-in-all I thought it was a good start to the season. I wanted more but I'll take what I can get.
