hello! I absolutly love the world of the Magical Sword series and Blue Blood series. Are you going/planning to feature any other characters from that world?

Hi Stacey,

Your books have been on my wish list for a while now! I heard about you from H.P. Mallory. How many books are you planning to do for the Blue Bloods and the Watchers series?

Hi, Stacey-

Congratulations on your two february releases.

As a Harry Potter fan, the word seeker immediately brings to mind a gold ball with wings. What is the seeker (obviously not a ball) in your series?

Hi Stacey! I have all of your books except Silent Howl. I love Nexi's sense of humor! I would find myself laughing out loud at the things she would say (which isn't good when you're in a public place).
If you could be one of your characters for a day, which would you choose and why?

Hi, Stacey.

What is your opinion on book trailers? Do you think they help in book sales?

Thanks,

Heather - Ooo...I have so much planned for this world. I've just finished Ryker & Sabi's first book, which takes off where FIRST and LAST left off. I'm currently writing Talon and Zia's story. Then, when the Blue Bloods has wrapped up, I'll be starting a series with Valor. And I also want to write a series on Misa. So, yes...lots to come.

Amy - Both series will have 4 book when completed.

Anne - I love Harry Potter, but no it's not a ball, it's a woman. She's a nephilim and has the ability to watch moments of the past when a demon has taken a life.

Cindy - I loved writing Nexi's character. She's so fun!! There hasn't been a character since her where I laughed so hard. But if I could be any character for a day, it'd been Rynn...just so I could have Briggs for a night. *grins*

Estella - Yes, I was very lucky. My cover artist let me work really close with her. I had full input on the covers and told her what I wanted...and even got to pick out the models so they fit the characters I imagined in my mind.

Tracey - You know, I've never done a book trailer so I'm not quite sure if it would increase sales. They are neat for sure...so it's definitely something to look into!

Elaing8 - What couple and I can tell you? :)

Thanks everyone for stopping in and good luck!

Honestly . . . what is the number one way a reader can show their appreciation of your work?

Hey Stacey!

JK Rowling says one of the first things she wrote in the Harry Potter series was the final scenes of the last book.

How do your series evolve? Do you have a long range arc in mind and plot accordingly or do your books kind of happen as you go along?

Hi Stacey!! Where do you find inspiration for your stories? You amaze me with how quickly you come up with new story ideas!

Ladybug - I LOVE love love hearing from my readers and reading their reviews! I enjoy reading what were favourite scenes, moments, etc.

Tigmode - I never write out of order, mainly because I don't plot. I'm a panster all the way. I have a general idea of the story and sit down to write. Sometimes, I'll skip to sex scenes cause those are always so fun to do. But usually, it's always in the way it's read because that's how the story evolves for me.

The only series I have a long range arc for is The Watchers series...but still it's very simple. I know some of what will happen in the next two novels to wrap up, however I won't figure it out totally till I start writing the books.

The fun of being a panster. :)

Stacey Kennedy said...

Ashley - Story ideas come from writing stories...that's the simple answer. I'm very lucky that way. I'll end one book and an idea for the next will be dying to get out. Sometimes ideas come while I'm writing a story, and when that happens I dive in and let the story run away with me. :)

Oh this is a wonderful world you have created. My question has nothing to do with your series, mine is: If you could write any story (without being in a box or formula) - what would you write?

This seems like an awesome series, please include me in!

I'm sorry if you have already been asked this, but do you use music as inspiration for your books? Do you ever have playlists for the books you write?
I love music so it always makes me happy when I see that it inspires authors as well. :)

Tore - you can check out all my books at www.staceykennedy.com. I usually only write Urban Fantasy Romance and paranormal erotic romance. But I have just finished my first erotic bdsm novel that has no supernatural elements. It was an interesting experience. LOL!!

Cecile - I've never not written a story I haven't been compelled to write. So truthfully, there isn't one. If I have the urge to write something...I do.

Laura - I know my muse runs wild. Each series I write will have four books, sometimes three. I love these worlds so they are really easy to write in.

Thanks Yadkny!

Trina - Actually yes, that does surprise me! LOL! Especially for The Magical Sword series. It is written in a tone that is meant for women in their 20's and 30's. But that said, I love to hear that women in general connect with the stories.

Kitty - I don't put music on when I write. But I have used it. For example, whenever I had to write an emotional scene for The Magical Sword, I would always like to Run by Leona Lewis. That song fits those characters perfectly and it always got me in the frame of mind to connect with the emotion.

Stacey - I've read a few excerpts from your books and I'd love to give one a try. Do you do much research for your books and do you enjoy it, or is it more of a chore for you?

Your books sound very good and I'm adding some of them to my to buy list. What is your favorite genre to read and to write? Who is your must read author?

sstrode@scrtc.com

Stacey Kennedy said...

JenM - I only research when I need to, that keeps it not so overwhelming. I don't mind the research since usually it's something I don't know so it's very interesting.

Sherry - Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance of course. LOL! I love to write what I love to read. My favourite author is Katie MacAlister. Her dragon series is one that I LOVE!!
