Ok so I'm a HUGE fan of Jeaniene Frost's Cat and Bones
So when I seen this book on The Romance Reviews....
OMG
I knew the image looked familiar
Here's my thinking- that cover can not be legal.
I know those covers are commissioned for Jeaniene Frost's books- same artist, cover models, etc.
So I don't think they'd end up at a stock photo site or that the publisher would give permission for their big money making author's book art to be used elsewhere.
My question is- is the author aware of this or did someone else design the cover and she just lives under a rock to not recognize where it came from?
Or did she design it and seriously think it was OK to use this image?
Things like this intrigue me because I love to know odd tidbits and the ins and outs of the publishing world.

Pfft, it's cropped and flipped, so it is way different. Ha, j/k. There is a lot of that, but this is exactly the same. I'd be pissed.
Oh, dear... In a way, I actually hope the author did this, only because if she is indeed a victim of some shoddy cover artist I feel SO BAD for her! :( Can you imagine? I'd die on the spot!
I know not all authors get a big say in their book covers so I'm hoping this was an accident as well and not something she did on purpose.
I know it's a messed up situation.
I am in love with Jeaniene Frost, Cat, and Bones and this makes me pretty upset!
This is not the first time I've heard of this. Just research 'similar covers' on google and people post about this frequently when they come across a book cover that looks similar to others they've seen. It's very strange.
I'm a big fan of Jeaneine Frost and just looking at the thumbnail pic I could tell this was Cat and Bones. If this author is any paranormal author at all she must know about the books, which means she just totally ripped it off! Errr this makes me mad. Glad you found it. I'm a paralegal, and your right, there is no way this is legal....
Just plain WOW! They didn't even try to hide it.
