Halloween is not just for kids. It’s also the favorite time of year for a group of people most humans don’t even know about: the Others.
Vampires, demons, and werewolves. What if you found out those things were true, but with a twist? They aren’t the monsters you feared growing up, but species of beings from different dimensions who travel here to Earth via an interdimensional portal. Normally they glamour their appearances to look human, but Halloween is the one time of year where they can let it all hang out. Blue skin? No problem, you can pass it off as body paint. Razor-sharp claws? Must be fake.
Those who know about the Otherworlds accept that the strange things they see on this one crazy night of the year could be all too real.
So here are some of the beings you might see out this coming Halloween:
• Demons: A race from a dark, hellish dimension called Infernum. They are stronger and faster than humans, and they’re very diverse. Some, like the aviritia heroes of my Demons of Infernum series, look mostly human. Others are far more grotesque. Yoda and the gremlins? Yeah… they’re based on nagora demons.
• Vampires: Creatures born on the Enevoran dimension, or made by a blood exchange with another vampire, thereby altering the DNA. Vampires have porcelain skin, red lips, and fangs that distend during feeding.
• Shifters: Also from Enevora, they can shift from humanlike to animal form. Wolf, panther, lion—you name it, there’s a shifter for it. There are even some who shift into animals we’ve never heard of.
• Fae: These creatures range from dark fae—with their blue-gray flesh and long, dark hair—to air sylphs, from brownies to pixies.
• Sirens: The legged cousin to the mermaid, sirens (both male and female) are sexy and stunning, with a fluid grace to their movement. They can also breathe underwater, so don’t ever challenge them to a game of bobbing for apples!
This is just a small sampling of the many types of creatures living here on Earth, passing themselves off as humans. So next time you’re at a Halloween party and you see an alluring vampire or a cute faerie pass you by, ask yourself the question:
Is that a Halloween costume, or could it possibly be real?
DEMONS OF INFERNUM - Book Two - Rosalie Lario
Half-demon Taeg is desperate to free his pregnant sister-in-law, who is spellbound to an indestructible book that will create an army of the undead. He is convinced that an ancient sword can destroy the book and the spell forever, but this relic has been hidden for a millennia by a powerful glamour. The clock begins to run out on his search when an old rival goes after the book and Taeg’s family in his quest for revenge.
Librarian Maya Flores has a secret: she’s immune to magic and is well aware of the supernatural beings prowling the streets of New York City. Haunted by a brutal demon attack that took her family, she is on a one-woman mission to destroy the evil demons who did it—and any others who get in her way.
Maya is Taeg’s best hope for uncovering the sword. Unfortunately, she wants nothing more than to kill him. As he fights for her trust and to save his family, she is forced to face the truth that not all demons are evil. And the worst part? She might be falling in love with one, too.

Hi, Rosalie!
WOW. That is one hell of a backstory. After seeing all those creatures and reading the synopsis, I gotta see how this turns out! Nice Halloween tie-in, too :)

OOh! Thanks for the post - I recently read "The Replacement" and one scene takes place at a Halloween party where this zombie like rotting girl walks in and just ...blends. This post reminded me of that.
Thanks! :)

I didn't realize Sirens were a cousin of Mermaids. You really do learn something new everday! I would love to stumble upon a real live alpha wereshifter, Halloweebn or any other day! Your book sounds awesome! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway!

OK much as I love these alpha guys, I must just pass out if one shapeshifted into my garden. Great descriptions, Rosalie.

I love a really authentic costume so the idea of Others having a night to walk among us is so very appealing. :)

Now I'm not sure if I should be scared or fascinated when I see someone in costume on Halloween.

What a fascinating list of creatures. Maybe I'll see some of these prowling my street on Halloween? Hopefully they won't come to my door trick-or-treating. ;) Great post, Rosalie!
I will have my eyes out for any costumes that look just a bit too real this Halloween, I just might see one of those travelers from another dimension.
Sounds like Deamons of the Infernum is a series that will be really fun to read, so it's on my books to buy list of unmentionable proportions. Anyone got an extra winning lottery ticket they would like to share so I can afford to empty my list?

Oh how intriguing to think that all those otherworldly creatures may actually be real. I'm definitely opening my eyes a bit more this Halloween.
Excellent tie-in to your book! I haven't read them, but it's on my TBR pile.
Thanks!

You know, sometimes I do wonder when I see people. And especially at Halloween when everyone is all decked out!

I love paranormals. The vamps, shifters, demons, etc. I would love finding out that these were real, as long as they would not hurt me or others.

Hi Rosalie
that's an interesting idea, that these creatures really do exist and we can see them freely only on halloween...
Thanks for sharing their descriptions so we can be aware of them this year!
And thanks for the giveaway!!
