A Review of Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris

Midnight Crossroad (Midnight, Texas, #1)Midnight Crossroad by Charlaine Harris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I picked up this book just to do a quick perusal...all the sudden I was three chapters in. That's how quick this quirky book sucked me in.

A mash up of odd characters who all have things to hide and stories to tell fill this book with questions and mystery that keeps you flipping the pages.

Midnight, Texas a tiny town in the middle of nowhere with few inhabitants...but each person there has a secret, a history, a reason they want to live where people don't ask too many questions or expect more than you're willing to offer.

Here you'll find a vampire, a witch, a psychic and who knows what else looking behind the innocent facade of a normal person.

In this first book a few secrets are uncovered, a few backgrounds are exposed and a murder is solved. But for the most part the reader will get sucked deeper and deeper into the questions and puzzles that surround this town. And they'll keep reading to learn more and keep waiting for the next book to uncover the next resident's deepest, darkest secrets and mysterious history.

I can't wait for book two.
