Burn Falls by Kimberly Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Vampires, The Roaring Twenties, Chicago, The Mob...and romance- this book definitely grabbed my attention. Toss in modern day Alaska and Seattle and things really get interesting.
Calla has a great a job, friends, and family. Life is good, until she goes home to Burn Falls for the holidays. Tragedy strikes and Calla's dad is murdered.
On the run from his past in Chicago, vampire Draven "hides" in Alaska working as Doctor Parker Young. Great way to always have access to blood without killing anyone.
He knows what really happened to Calla's dad and wants to help her find justice.
Twists and turns lead the reader to a powerful connection tying Calla and Draven.
Not your average vampire read. I loved that this was something a little different.
