For years, lab tech Savanna Royce has been trying to find a "real-life Angel" of her very own in the San Francisco goth clubs, even though she's not into the goth scene. One night Savanna leaves a club with the wrong brooding guy in a long, dark duster who turns out to be a nasty rogue vampire. Only the timely intervention by history professor and vampire Kaige Travers saves Savanna's life... by changing her into a vampire while she's unconscious.

When Savanna wakes up, she has a hard time accepting that she's really a vampire and that her life will never be the same. Fortunately, "Vampire 101" lessons from the sexy Kaige help her adjust quickly. During those lessons, Savanna and Kaige discover that they are very, very compatible and things really heat up.

Modern Day Vampires: Vampire 101 was a well-written, smokin', and enjoyable read.

Paige Tyler creates believable characters and an intriguing world, which I hope she'll revisit in future books. Just when I started to worry that things were going along too smoothly for this to be a satisfying read, that pesky rogue vampire turned up again and kept things lively. Whew!

I enjoyed this book enough that I've already picked up two other Paige Tyler ebooks: Librarian By Day (erotic romance, not paranormal) and Animal Attraction (parnormal erotic romance).
