Jeaniene Frost is a star that has quickly risen to the top. Her Night Huntress series featuring the beautiful half-breed vampire, Cat, and her sexy vampire cohort, Bones, has grabbed the attention of vampire lovers everywhere.
I found this series when it first came out, I am so glad that I did. It hooked me with the book jacket and as soon as I started reading it I couldn't put it down.
Jeaniene has a flair for the paranormal and I love it.
This relative newbie to the well known writing world quickly went from nobody to a top somebody with bestselling books, reader's choice awards, and short stories and novellas in anthologies with big names like Kim Harrison and Vicki Petterson.
I loved her story in Weddings from Hell along with stories from other popular writers that I love.
She's going to be in several anthologies coming out in 2009 including The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance, Four Dukes and a Devil, and Unbound. You better believe I am going to be reading all of those books.
I applaud her success (and want her agent's number). Jeaniene has sold numerous foreign rights to her works already and her publisher has purchased four more books (so far we are at a count of 7 for the Night Huntress series plus two more books in the Night Huntress world but with different characters).
Great job, Jeaniene. Unlike other writers who often sulk around hating the good fortune of others, I love to see writer's succeed. Especially kick ass ones who tell a fabulous story that I just can't get enough of. One- because I love to read and if these books did not get published I wouldn't have them to enjoy and two it gives me hope that one day I too could achieve such success.
Anyway, I didn't get the chance to get an ARC of At Grave's End so I will be at the store tomorrow to purchase it. I can't wait. I might have to interrupt my reading of Madelyn Alt's witchy series (sorry I don't know if it has a series name, it's a surprise series that I came across while looking for something else, I didn't think I would like it but now I am totally into it).
