I read and thoroughly enjoyed the first book in your series. I'm a bit behind on series reading as my TBR pile tops 450 books at the moment, but I look forward to the others as well.
I have to say that the most unique take on demons I can think of at the moment (not scariest, mind, but most unique) was the Personal Demons in Stacia Kane's book by the same title. The demons had to feel on human emotions.
Some of my favorites were the demons in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, especially those creepy ones in "Hush, Hush," the episode where no one speaks.
