Review of Tall, Dark and Wolfish by Lydia Dare
.75
Four and 3/4 fangs for Tall, Dark and Wolfish
Blurb:
In Lydia Dare's debut trilogy, Regency England has gone to the wolves!
He's lost the most important part of himself...
Lord Benjamin Westfield is a powerful werewolf-until one full moon when he doesn't change. His life now shattered, he rushes off to Scotland in search of the healer who can restore his inner beast, only to find she's not at all what he expected...
She would make him whole, if she could...
Young, beautiful witch Elspeth Campbell will do anything to help anyone who calls upon her healing arts. Then Lord Benjamin shows up, and she suddenly discovers she may need him even more than he needs her...
Review:
Tall, Dark and Wolfish, the second book in Lydia Dare's historical werewolf series is a howlingly good read.
It has everything a lover of paranormal romance could want- a sizzling hot werewolf, a wickedly bespelling witch, and enough steamy romance to keep you turning the page. Historical romance lovers will enjoy it too since it is set in Regency England.
Dare has managed to take two great romance genres (historical and paranormal) and combine them for a very worthwhile read that you won't want to put down.
Benjamin is the second of the wolfy Westfield brothers, he's the one that likes to be in control and he more than willingly embraces his inner wolf until one full moon comes along...and he doesn't transform. Not wanting to be ridiculed by his brothers he seeks outside help- which leads him to a wild red haired Scottish witch named Elspeth.
Things heat up between them and sparks fly...literally...well almost, that is if you consider fireballs to be anything close to sparks.
This scorching read is full of mischief, star crossed lovers, sizzling sex scenes and even humor. It has everything you could want in a book if you love wild roguish men who happen to be werewolves, sexy red haired witches, and a wild romps through the countryside with a lot of magic tossed in.
I have to say I'm glad I already have book 3 on hand because I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

Hi Roxanne,
I'm just popping in to tell your readers that I concur with your review. And to add, Tall, Dark and Wolfish was my favorite of the three. I love Ben!
I recently read the first one and quite enjoyed, but I had sort of forgotten about the series. Thanks for the reminder. I'll definitely have to get my hands on this one!
