Review of Tall, Dark and Wolfish by Lydia Dare

.75
Four and 3/4 fangs for Tall, Dark and Wolfish

Blurb:

In Lydia Dare's debut trilogy, Regency England has gone to the wolves!

He's lost the most important part of himself...

Lord Benjamin Westfield is a powerful werewolf-until one full moon when he doesn't change. His life now shattered, he rushes off to Scotland in search of the healer who can restore his inner beast, only to find she's not at all what he expected...

She would make him whole, if she could...

Young, beautiful witch Elspeth Campbell will do anything to help anyone who calls upon her healing arts. Then Lord Benjamin shows up, and she suddenly discovers she may need him even more than he needs her...

Review:

Tall, Dark and Wolfish, the second book in Lydia Dare's historical werewolf series is a howlingly good read.

It has everything a lover of paranormal romance could want- a sizzling hot werewolf, a wickedly bespelling witch, and enough steamy romance to keep you turning the page. Historical romance lovers will enjoy it too since it is set in Regency England.

Dare has managed to take two great romance genres (historical and paranormal) and combine them for a very worthwhile read that you won't want to put down.

Benjamin is the second of the wolfy Westfield brothers, he's the one that likes to be in control and he more than willingly embraces his inner wolf until one full moon comes along...and he doesn't transform. Not wanting to be ridiculed by his brothers he seeks outside help- which leads him to a wild red haired Scottish witch named Elspeth.

Things heat up between them and sparks fly...literally...well almost, that is if you consider fireballs to be anything close to sparks.

This scorching read is full of mischief, star crossed lovers, sizzling sex scenes and even humor. It has everything you could want in a book if you love wild roguish men who happen to be werewolves, sexy red haired witches, and a wild romps through the countryside with a lot of magic tossed in.

I have to say I'm glad I already have book 3 on hand because I can't wait to sink my teeth into it.

A female werewolf puts the “P” back in pizzazz as she struts her stuff on her fateful wedding day to a vampire lord. HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND is a deliciously fiendish story mixed with a hot and cold romance.

Blu Masterson, a stunning werewolf princess, is in for a big surprise. Her wicked father, Amandus Masterson, pack leader of the werewolves, conspires with the vampire nation to marry off his only daughter, to a vampire lord of Nava, one of the oldest vampire tribes, in order to restore peace to both sides. Blu is not happy one bit! She already has a fiancĂ©e named Ryan. However, her father doesn’t approve of him. How she wishes her mother were there to confide in. Her father intimated to her when she was young, that her mom left them. In the back of Blu’s mind, she wonders what really happened. She also has an uneasy feeling about the whole marriage business. It is mere minutes to alter time. Vampires, ugh! She certainly doesn’t want any longtooth breathing on her, let alone kissing her. Does she change her mind when she sees her new husband-to-be?

Creed Saint-Pierre, a devastatingly handsome vampire, with many secrets, is to wed the spoiled princess Blu Masterson. What did he get himself into, he wonders. When he sees Blu make her sassy way up to the altar, he is taken aback. What is up with her hair? It is lime green! However, her voluptuous, statuesque body makes him catch his breath. Be still my heart! Marriage to Blu might not be so bad after all. Will they fall in love, just for the spell of it?

HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND is an exciting blend of thrills, chills, wit, romance and real emotion that will leave readers wanting more. A spoiled werewolf princess and a dangerously handsome vampire are wed to restore peace to their dueling nations. Michele Hauf delivers a winning combination of undeniably gritty danger and a deliciously sexy risky romance. The tension is high between this unusual pair as they strike out a balance in their arranged marriage. Boundaries are set by Blu as Creed works his magical charms on her to win her over. This unlikely couple shoots more fireworks than the Forth of July when they are together. The plot is filled with many intricacies and unsuspecting twists galore! Love and deception plays an important role in the story. HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND is an enormously, engaging novel filled with nonstop action that you will find yourself reading again and again! I absolutely loved it!
