A Review of The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers by Angie Fox

.5

Another fast paced demon slaying book from Angie Fox drives us full speed ahead into the wild demon filled world of Sin City, AKA Las Vegas but first Lizzie has to stop and get her demon slaying license. Yeah, even "the chosen" demon slayer has to cut through red tape.

Too bad Lizzie fails, however she does have enough raw talent to get her learner's permit. Wow, talk about a blow to your ego.

But she has to go to Vegas to help save her Uncle Phil from a soul sucking succubus.

So with the permit in her back pocket Lizzie motors into Vegas with her geriatric biker witches and her stubborn griffin boyfriend. Too bad she learns too late that her griffin shouldn't be anywhere near Vegas because griffins are tasty treats for succubi, they're going to use him as power food.

The whole situation turns into a much bigger mess than anyone imagined. Uncle Phil is more than Grandma let on and the succubi want him for their own nefarious schemes that could involve world domination and opening the gates of hell. Lizzie has no idea how one demon slayer on a permit is supposed to save the world all by herself. Boy does she have a lot to learn. Hence the permit. :-)

Full of humor, wild scenarios, sexy scenes with Dimitri, and some fun interchanges with her talking dog Pirate this is a fast, fun read that will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering how Lizzie's going to make it out alive and save the world in the process.

Fox's books are great paranormal/urban fantasies that don't take themselves too seriously. I like that. Sure the world is on the line and good versus evil constantly but hey that's no reason why there can't be some humor thrown in. Fox does such a great job of blending a complex world, great story lines, wild and very colorful characters in with humor and a little bit of steamy sex to create books that are a great escape.

A highly recommended read.
