Since Jeff and Catch had a chance to share their views of why they should have their own "Teams," I figured I'd take this opportunity to talk about the vampire thing.
And by the vampire thing I mean, of course, the My-Best-Friend's-Now-A-Vampire thing.
I mean, she always has an opportunity to talk to you about that stuff since the books are written from her perspective, right? But I don't think you really have my side of it. *Takes breath* So here goes . . .
Let me start by admitting that "Daddy" comment was totally uncalled for. I know it now, and I knew it when the words flew out of my mouth. But I was mad, you know? She became a vampire, and got ensconced in this whole Buffy world, and I'm sent to Schaumburg to talk about magic with some gazillion year-old sorcerer.
(Ok--in fact, total blond hottie, but does Catch need to know that? Mighty big "no.")
Anywho, I just felt like I'd been kind of . . . well . . . abandoned, you know? I mean, I get that she has all sorts of new drama to deal with, Darth Sullivan included, but I just found out I'm a sorceress.
Yeah, *sorceress*. Let that one sink in for a minute.
So I'm able to move matter around by willing it to happen? Change events by willing them to happen? Prophecy the future because I get into some kind of insight-groove. Can you imagine learning that about yourself? Maybe that's the time you need your BFF at your side.
I mean, I was there for her, right?
*Pauses quietly*
I don't know. I love Merit--don't get me wrong. I just miss her, I guess.
*Shrugs*
I guess time will tell.

Until Twice Bitten I was more of a Morgan girl but let me tell you Ethan shines in Twice Bitten in a way he has not before- yet he makes a few blunders that slide him back down a few notches.
The interaction between Merit and Ethan is really intense in this book - ya'll are going to love it.
I would love to read this book and pick a side!
